A second man has been charged in the stabbing of an off-duty Baltimore City police officer early Thursday morning in Dundalk.
Police report that early Thursday morning Officer Eric Jansen, was leaving Christina’s Female Revue in Dundalk two individuals ran up to him and began stabbing him in the neck and lower back. Officer Jansen produced a handgun he was carrying off-duty and shot one suspect once in the upper body. Officer Jansen were taken to Shock Trauma along with the suspect who was identified as Glenn Christopher Lansinger, 27, of North Boundary Road, Dundalk. Lansinger remains at Shock Trauma and was charged there by a Court Commissioner on Friday evening. Officer Jansen was treated and released.
The second suspect was arrested Friday and also charged with taking part in the attack. He is identified as Lucas James Baumeister, 23, of Marjeff Place, Parkville. He is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center. Both men are charged with attempted first-degree murder and assault, with bail denied.
