The exhibit is free and open to the public. An opening reception will be held at 6 p.m. March 23 in Decker College Center.

Harry Lurman Damm, 88, of Sykesville, died unexpectedly at his home, Wednesday, February 3, 2010.
Born January 18, 1922 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William and Margaret Stierhoff Damm.

 dare-washington-lions The Freedom District Lions Club held their regular meeting at the Messiah Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall on February 24, 2010. The speaker for the meeting was Corporal Worthington Washington of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department. Corporal Washington is the officer responsible for the DARE drug program in the county schools. He informed the Lions of the progress being made by the DARE program. He also showed samples of the materials given to our youth to hopefully keep them from using drugs.
