Facebook and the 'Fake News' Crackdown

Public Education System Broken: Let’s Try ‘Ed-Exit’

hgkuyrk8iutyr5Maryland Governor Larry Hogan recently signed an executive order forbidding Maryland public schools from beginning classes before Labor Day. Governor Hogan’s executive order benefits businesses in Maryland’s coastal areas that lose school-aged summer employees and business from Maryland families when schools start in August. However, as Governor Hogan’s critics have pointed out, some Maryland school districts, as well as Maryland schoolchildren, benefit from an earlier start to the school year.

Fake News Versus Junk News

Most showed Donald Trump losing big in November, thus cable news ran countless renditions of the many ways Trump could not possibly win the necessary Electoral College vote. Getting the story utterly wrong should result in hand-wringing, hair-pulling and painful introspection in my profession; instead many in the news business have turned their hungry eyes on "fake news" disseminated on Facebook and Google.

Indoctrinating the Young in Hate Factories

RAY120316LIf you want to learn to hate America, your nearest public school or college is waiting for you.  If it is a university you want to attend, don’t worry about the cost, the government (taxpayers) will pick up the tab as student loans are about to be forgiven to the tune of $108 billion and will probably go much higher.
