The Reality: The Democrats and the Republicans are accusing each other of the nefarious practice of shipping American jobs overseas. Both parties have good arguments that their opponent has helped outsource jobs, but both sides have also exaggerated their evidence in a way that misleads voters.
The politicians call it “outsourcing,” but what they mean is “offshoring,” a related term.
Technically, “outsourcing” is the practice of subcontracting work that was once done within a company to an outside firm. ...continues...
