Federal Regulations Killed Nearly a Million Jobs (Graph)

Duane Lester | Liberty News Network:

I had a friend at work where I used to work tell me that federal regulations were good because they mandate that some places have certain people in place to deal with emergencies and without them, many of my friends wouldn’t have jobs.

He needs to read this:

Federal regulators are keeping America from moving forward. From recent news stories, my colleagues at Engage America have calculated that federal red tape has squelched at least 779,203 potential jobs. If these positions were filled, today’s unemployment rate would fall from 8.2 percent to 7.7.

There’s a bigger picture that needs attention also. The above number represents jobs lost.

How many jobs were never created because of federal regulations?

How many young Americans would have jobs if the federal government didn’t mandate a minimum wage?

How much harm has the federal government done in its attempt to keep us safe?

More harm than good? It’s possible.
